Karn was fired up for JATT and hit back-to-back-to-back 3s to lead 15-13, but Party's Jordan also tallied a quick 10 points to pull his team ahead.  In the best recruit of the night, JATTs Brandon did a great job controlling The Party's big man, Chris and cleaned up with 17 rebounds on the night.  Antonio sunk a 3 and then Suki holds for the last shot of the half and hits a corner 3 while falling out of bounds.  Suki keeps the energy going to start the 2nd half with a nasty ankle breaking handle (defense claims he tripped) and Suki continues to score - perhaps pumped up by his song request "Ballin" by Mustard featuring Roddy Ricch.  It's a close battle and The Party's Sean hits back to back 3s and Karn (with a K and the nice shoes) responds with a couple 3s of his own.  Jordan hits some killer buckets and a 3 point play to seal the victory for The Party.

Shaun (The Party): 21 points, (5 3-pointers),  3 rebounds, 2 assists

Jordan (The Party): 18 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals

Niko (The Party): 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals

Antonio (JATT): 22 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist

Brandon (JATT): 14 points, 17 rebounds

Suki (JATT): 18 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists

Isaac was in a for a dog fight today against the team to beat, but was ready to battle by hitting four 3s to start off the game.  Daryll had seen enough shots from Isaac so subbed himself in and disrupted the Huskies offence to put Isaac on ice.  Huskies stayed in the game with some 3s from Magnus and Jacob, but Roger and Prince heated up and battled each other for sexiest shooter (the jury is still out, but sources say Prince in the lead with his perfect 3-point swishes). Brody continues to impress with 10 assists to add to his 17 points.  Jacob tries to rally his dogs, but Mark Halfnights shoves down their shot (and their dreams) with a massive block - Mark had 2 blocks while Braedon had 3 blocks on the night.  Stallions roll on for a 10 point win, but the Huskies held them to under 80.

Prince (Stallions): 22 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists,

Brody (Stallions): 17 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal

Mark (Stallions): 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks

Isaac (Huskies): 24 points (7 3-pointers), 4 rebounds

Jacob #7 (Huskies): 16 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals

Magnus (Huskies):  13 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist

Refs: 3 technicals given

Even without Mr. Matt Anza, TTP started of on fire and a 9-0 run.  Omid was dominant with an "and 1" from Kevin Anza. But the ShamGodz bigs (Mike and Russell) went to work in the post and put their team up by 1 at the 10 minute mark, forcing a TTP timeout.  TTP returned with a new strategy and their 2-3 zone forced some errant outside shooting by ShamGodz.  Finally Shalil hits a 3 to inspire his teammates, but TTP's Ricky responded with 8 straight points and TTP closed the half up 39-32.  ShamGodz found their way back into the paint despite the zone and tied the game 39-39, but Jeff Chan (and his perfect hair) nail a dagger 3 to keep TTP on top where they would stay the rest of the game.

Ricky (TTP): 20 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals

Omid (TTP): 19 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals

Mike (ShamGodz): 21 points, 11 rebounds, 1 steal

Russell (ShamGodz): 20 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal

Great battle to open Week 6 at Court 5. The Rice Farmers and Bulldogs played a great first half. Garth had a great first half, scoring 15 points and dropping 2 dimes. The Bulldogs’ Oghasa had a great first half, with 3 steals and 2 blocks, to go along with his 10 points. The Bulldogs started the second half on fire! Niko played a very solid half scoring 15 points from deep. And with the help of Oghasa’s defense, they overcame a 10-point deficit. The game came down to the wire. Anthony had a good second half helping the Rice Farmers stay close, but Niko came down the stretch with a big bucket to give the Bulldogs the dub with a final score 67 – 63 over the Rice Farmers.

Players of the Game

Jordan Lum-Tum (Rice Farmers): 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists

Niko Mottus (South Slope Bulldogs): 24 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists

All Canadians started the game dominating the crazy pigs in the paint. Malik had a great first half, scoring from everywhere, which helped his team heat up and knock down a collective 8 Three-pointers. Richie had a good effort for the Crazy Pig to try to keep it competitive. But In the second half, the All Canadians came out strong! Richie had an amazing half for Crazy Pig, scoring a total of 27 points. But despite his efforts, the team couldn’t stop the All Canadians who got the dub with a final score of 79-69.

Players of the Game

Richie (Crazy Pig): 27 points, 5 rebounds

Malik (All Canadians): 17 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds

This Division II game went back-and-forth right off the gates. Royce was all over the board once again, contributing in all categories for Mandem, and Bobby supported him, dropping a team high 21 points. Alex from Nothin' But Netflix was on fire, draining 5 3-pointers. He lead his team with a team high 24 points, but in the end, it came down to fundamentals of moving your feet on defense, and free-throws. Mandem sealed the game with a pair of clutch free-throws, squeezing out the win 76-72.

Players of the Game

Alex (Nothin’ But Netflix): 24 points, 5 3-pointers

Bobby (Mandem): 21 points, 5 rebounds

The Buddy Guys came out on fire from behind the three point line. Antonio of The Buddy Guys scored 19 points in the first half, while Brandon of Kawhi So SRS played big on both offense and defense with 14 points 5 boards and 3 blks to give his team a 2 point lead at the half. The second half was a different story. Kahwhi So SRS hit another gear, dominating the second half. Jesse Beavis took over in a big way, and finished the game with 27 points 5rbs and 2 stls. Antonio kept the pressure for his team, but their effort wasn’t enough to stop the momentum of Kawhi So SRS. Final score was 57 – 82.

Players of the Game

Jesse Beavis (Kawhi So SRS): 27 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals

Antonio (The Buddy Guys): 25 points, 6 3-pointers, 3 rebounds

What started out as a 3 point shooting competition ended in a lopsided dunk exhibition. Both teams came out looking sharp and focused.  All Trouble was doing full bench subs, while Money $hot had to wait for Rhys to finish up a hot date before they could get a sub. A block by Colton led to a self-toss dunk by Tyrone which would be his first of many on the night.  Cole (All Trouble) and Rhys (Money $hot) exchanged shots in a 3 point duel, but then Tyrone took over the game with his fast break 360 dunk which brought the crowd to their feet.  Getting greedy and spurred on by the bench and bleachers, Tyrone goes looking for steals and dunks.  Petea wanted on the highlight reel as well so he drive the lane in traffic with a reverse dunk.  Tyrone ends the show with a windmill dunk.  In all the excitement of dunks and needing to answering Rhys' phone because Bumble was blowing up, the scorekeeper may have made 2 errors in the stats which guys were quick to point out, but it's cuffing season and messages needed to be answered.  You are welcome, Bumble gals.

Tyrone (All Trouble): 41 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals

Cole (All Trouble): 14 points, 1 rebounds, 1 assist

Jordan (Money $hot): 17 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal

Rhys (Money $hot): 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals
